The Nanny Security Camera - Helpful Or Part Of A Larger Problem

A nanny security camera is nothing more than a product of our times. We live in an age where electronic devices designed to help parents are popping up all around us. These are items designed to aid parents in caring for their children while maintaining their current lifestyle. The nanny camera is one such a device. Basically it's a step up from those audio baby monitors that let you hear your child's breathing from another room. A nanny security camera not only allows you to hear, but to see your child as well. You can keep an eye on your baby while in another part of the house.

But here's where the controvery arises. Yes parents can now keep track of their children when they go to another room. A mom can go on with her daily chores while keeing an eye on the kids. Proponents say the mother would be leaving the room anyway, so the nanny security camera simply makes her a better parent. It allows her to keep an eye on the kids while in a different area of the house. And it will give additional security to a situation that might not be very secure without it. This they say, is a blessing for both the parents and the children. It makes accidents less likely to occur.

However others disagree, believing that a nanny security camera will simply make a bad problem worse. They argue that without this camera, the mother may not have left the room, but only do so because of the so called security of the nanny cam. Clearly they argue that a nanny security camera is not as good as if you are in the room with your children. And instead you get lulled into a false security because of the camera, and therefore become distracted because technology has put distance between you and your kids.

In either case, the nanny security camera may one day become as popular as those audio baby monitors, especially in wealthy homes. Just as sure is the fact that someone will always find a reason to object to its use. Eventually there will be enough data to determine if these truly are a blessing or a curse.
